Business Support Unit

MARKETING OFFICER

Job description: 

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing Marketing Plans
  • Counsel and guide prospects by providing updated and relevant information related to the School
  • Play a leadership role in the development and implementation of advertising and promotional activities, eg. Open Days, Fairs, Previews, Assimilation Programmes, etc.
  • Identify and implement new marketing and promotional activities to support the development of Sri KDU Schools through market intelligence planning and implementing efficient and effective sales and marketing strategies

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Proficient in English
  • Experience in Customer Service, preferably in the Education / Service industry
  • Experience in Counselling, Marketing and Promotion activities will be an added advantage
  • Able to assist with Strategic Management and Business Development Plans

 

EXECUTIVE, FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

Job description:
 
  • To perform daily operational functions of the finance and bursary department and ad-hoc administrative functions
  • Preparation and booking of customers invoices and journal entries, and perform review of receipt journals, in Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Perform monthly AR reconciliation, send monthly statement of accounts to customers and follow up on outstanding debts
  • Perform monthly cash and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and booking of journal entries in AR, General Ledger and Bank Accounts
  • Assist in closing of monthly and year-end accounts and ensure completion of monthly closing checklist
  • Liaising with banks, lawyers, auditors, tax agents and other third parties, when necessary
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or a related field
  • At least 2 years and above of work experience in a similar capacity
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • IT literate

SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS COORDINATOR (SENCO)

(Required for September 2019)

Job description:

  • To work closely with the Principal, SLT and colleagues in the strategic development of the School’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy and oversee the day to day operation of that policy with the aim of realising SEN and EAL student achievement
  • Support the identification of and disseminate the most effective teaching approaches for students with SEN
  • Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEN and EAL students

Requirements:

  • Deep commitment to inclusion and a passion for excellence 
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in the mainstream subject specialism
  • Cultural empathy for the needs of our school community regarding SEN 
  • A SEN qualification or significant experience running a SEN department 
  • The SENCO is also considered to be the Head of Inclusion, encompassing provision for EAL students, as well as those with SEN, so some knowledge of EAL good practice is also required
