Sri KDU Primary School has and will continue to emphasize on continuous training for teachers, multi-level mentoring and supervision, as well as lesson plan preparation under the national primary curriculum.
The School offers the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) from Primary One until Primary Six.
Mandarin is taught as a subject within the curriculum from Primary One until Primary Six. It is divided into three levels-Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.
Mathematics and Science are taught following the KSSR Syllabus. This is further strengthened by the teaching of Mathematics and Science using the Singapore and UK International Syllabus.
Dual Language Programme (DLP)
Under this Ministry of Education (MoE) initiated programme, implemented last year, Science and Mathematics will be taught in English to our primary school students.
There is one formal assessment and one examination per semester. The results of the project assessment and examination carry a weightage each in the semester’s overall percentile score.
Teachers conduct Tutor time after each assessment to coach students who have been identified as needing extra assistance in order to help them progress. All Primary Six students sit for the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination. Two trial examinations are held to prepare students for the UPSR.
Sri KDU Primary students have maintained a high success rate in the UPSR and the school ranks among the top in Klang Valley.
All students go for one educational trip a year. The trip is usually related to the work pupils are doing in class and include visits to museums, theatres, parks and farms.
