Gha Yuan Brings Home 3 Medals for the MSSS Aquatic Championships
Sri KDU Secondary School is extremely proud of the achievements of our hardworking swimming athletes who carried the school’s name at the MSSS Aquatics Championships 2019. This competition was organised from 26th February to the 1st March 2019 at the venue of Pusat Akuatik Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam.

A total of 11 of our talented students participated in this competition with the guidance of three respective teachers-in-charge. Each and every student gave their best effort and held high sportsmanship in their respective events.

The quote by Maya Angelou: ‘When it looked like the sun was not going to shine anymore, there is a rainbow in the clouds’, can be well-phrased to describe this event as after facing tough competition and a medal drought for 7 years, one of our student from Secondary 4, Ng Gha Yuan, managed to soar among the rest of the competitors in her respective categories by securing a total of 3 medals this year.

The results are as below:
1) U-18 Girls 200m Butterfly Stroke – 2nd place (Silver medal)
2) U-18 Girls 200m Breast Stroke – 2nd place (Silver medal)
3) U-18 Girls 100m Breast Stroke – 3rd place (Bronze medal)

This achievement proves that setting goals and working towards it with a positive and competitive mindset always pays off. The hopes to reach greater heights and higher mountains will continue to be carried by our school’s Aquatic team.

Well done to everyone and congratulations, Gha Yuan!
