Computer Science & Literacy

Sri KDU Primary School continues to break new grounds in adaptive technology and in enhancing regular classroom instructions through the school’s eLearning initiative. Computer Science teaches young children essential computational thinking skills which leads them to critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity and innovation abilities. Computer Literacy is about the proficient and safe use of computing hardware and software. The school is a pioneer in introducing Computer Science education – coding – at the primary level, where it is conducted as part of the school’s computer lessons.

These courses are aligned to each year of primary school, allowing for the most robust content along the entire elementary education pipeline. Each course begins with a grade-appropriate entry point and structured ramp-up of concepts. The progression of courses builds upon each other to ensure continuing students stay interested and learn new things. This allows the school to use the same course at any grade level for all students, regardless of their experience
