The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is one of the many student enrichment and character building programmes offered by Sri KDU Secondary School since 2012. Sri KDU Secondary School was established as an International Award Centre (IAC) for the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award on 2014 by the Award Foundation. We offer the Bronze Level Award to Secondary 1 & Secondary 2 students, and the Silver Level Award is offered to Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 students.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award was founded by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. It is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities, designed to support the personal and social development of young people. It offers an individual challenge and encourages young people to undertake exciting, constructive and enjoyable activities in their free time. Other benefits for the participants include developing or discovering a sense of achievement, new skills and interests, self-confidence and self-reliance, leadership skills and experience of teamwork and decision making.
